I've heard alot of good stuff about ya'll. I hope to play there when ya'll have an opening. I plan on being at the open mic night next week. I play guitar and sing my own songs. The songs I sing are very good and they catch people's attention. Hope ya'll have a great week.

Crossroads has been a home away from home for me. The folk there, particularly Stephen, Lynn, Lindy, Kate and Conrad, have treated me as though I belonged. Though my time here is temporary, the memories are forever. Thanks

I can't imagine Winnsboro without Crossroads, which has been such a gracious host to performers and listeners alike for the past 3+ years. The glow of tableside candles, an abundance of wonderful concerts and the warm smiles of our hosts, Lynn, Lindy and Kate, will be missed. I wish you the greatest success in your future endeavors!

Crossroads Coffeehouse & Music Co is an ultimate, listening room in the beautiful East Texas town of Winnsboro. This converted hardware store, with its Mississippi Delta front porch stage, offers excellent sound and incredible singer-songwriters in an intimate atmosphere. If you prefer to actually "listen" to fingers on the strings, voices from the heart, and lyrics from true storytellers... this is the place for you. Lynn Adler and Lindy Hearne have created the kind of place they prefer to play and from what I can see that feeling is shared by the performers that take the stage most Saturday nights. It is so much fun to be at a venue where the artists, the audience and the owners are all having a great time. The grin on Lynn Adler's face is both contagious and understandable. They have done well putting together such a unique venue in such an enjoyable locale. As true music lovers it is our responsibility, and privilege, to support this place and make sure we all get to continue to enjoy music at its best.

I came to Crossroads for the first time last night (10/4/08) for the Rhett Butler show, and I'm absolutely won over. Not just by Butler's great performance and Lynn's stunning voice, but by the sense of community you've helped nurture in Winnsboro. Now I have a new favorite live music getaway. I'll be back soon (maybe next weekend). Keep up the great work.

What a great "find." Discovered this place while surfing for Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Went to hear him on 9/20/08. The music was great, the atmosphere as casual as in your own den. My table was approx. 10 feet, from Ramblin' Jack. (If you have never heard or heard of Ramblin' Jack, do youself a favor and google him.) I have made reservations for Ray Wiley, and can't wait to get back to this neat little coffeehouse. The one hour drive from Longview was well worth it.

We just want to thank Lynn and Lindy for a great pot luck, incredible cuts from their new CD, and a chance for some of us "non-professional" musicians to share our music. If we're not at home you can find us every Saturday night at the Crossroads. We've been to hundreds of music venues, but the Crossroads beats them all hands down. Even if you come late and have to sit in the rear, you are still up close and personal to the entertainers. There's not a bad seat in the house. For the money and incredible talent, you can't find a better place to relax and enjoy some of the best that music has to offer. Thanks again Lynn and Lindy for providing such a great atmosphere for friends, new and old, to gather and feel the spirit of the music.

We enjoyed Susan Gibson, and her band so much!!! Susan has a wonderful stage presence and a great sense of humor. I thought she was singing about my life, in most every song. Looks like we all have much more in common than we think we do. Good luck to Susan!! Hope she knows the world is waiting for her.

I was with the Robert Till party last Saturday. This was one of the most enjoyable musical experiences I have ever had. I definately will be back and have told everyone I can about one of my new favorite places. If it wasn't a 2 hour drive from McKinney, you might see me every weekend, but the effort getting there is I guess part of the charm. Thanks for what you guys are doing.

I have twisted the knobs for Adler & Hearne many times over the years... two great talents and truly generous people. It will be a pleasure to see you again when I come to Crossroads twisting knobs for 'Beatlegras' on Saturday, March 1st. Obviously, you have impeccable taste in music as well - and you're in for a fun treat. Luck and blessings always...

November 13, 2007

You feed the heart, soul and stomach Saturday evening....we followed Albert & Gage from the Edgewood festival because we just didn't "get enough". Your hospitality endeared us to thoughts of returning and the coconut cream pie from the Bakery still lingers on my taste buds! We'll be back.

November 11, 2007

What a concert last night! Had not heard of Abi Tapia before but was mesmerized by her song-writing skills and captivating performance. And what a treat to hear Albert & Gage -- the beautifully meshed vocals, Chris' fabulous artistry on guitar, keyboard and accordian, Christine's sultry French lyrics .... cannot imagine a more satisfying evening of music! Thanks, as always!

I was born and raised in East Texas (Van), and now live in Palestine. It sounds as if you are living the way I would like to, country, farm, music. I just started learning the guitar a couple of years ago and have re-awakened my passion for music... still a beginner but on the journey. I hope to make it up to Winnsboro soon to enjoy your venue.

September 27, 2006

My husband and I just attended our first concert at Crossroads last week. Really enjoyed Scott Walker, and had a great time.
We recently relocated to east Texas from Santa Cruz, CA, where we enjoyed many live music experiences with your wonderful Texas songwriters.

It's great to know that there is a place we can still enjoy great live music right in our new back yard.

We hope to visit again very soon.

As I have told the girls at Crossroads....I moved here from Raleigh North Carolina to care for family. I was used to a diverse and fabulous group of "clubs" in which many musical talents were displayed. Once moving to East Texas, I was very homesick for that venue again...but found nothing close to home. Now that I have the Crossroads, I have a huge
part of my life back. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate what these women have done. Yall come out and enjoy the music and food, it is all wonderful

September 19, 2006

Lynn and Lindy, just a quick note to tell you how much we loved being your guests for the exuberant Sara Hickman children's show this past Sunday. Thank you for making us feel so completely welcome, even as our wee hooligans ran wild 'round the place. They had an absolute blast, we had a marvelous time and now we're all enjoying our musical memories from the weekend. (In particular, the ukulele has been a huge hit! Thanks for your guidance, Lindy!) As soon as we can, we'll send pictures of the afternoon.

We're looking forward to returning for a night show soon! (Surely there's a brave babysitter to be found somewhere in Dallas... )

Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time the Diddley Squat gang had last weekend, and to gush a little more about your great venue! What a wonderful setting! Thanks so much for your kind hospitality and great sound. Hope we see you soon.

September 13, 2006

NOW I know Diddley Squat! Thanks for Saturday night. It was the perfect wrap-up to a wonderful day in Winnsboro with my husband and our friends. We're already planning our next weekend in Winnsboro and Crossroads is definitely on the agenda. Thanks!

A new FAN of Crossroads Coffeehouse!

September 9, 2006

Words cannot express how moved I was by last night's concert by Dana Cooper and Annika Fehling. The gift of their songs was compelling and awe-inspiring. The sound of the room was impeccable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The audience was a great listening audience, and obviously ALL loved the experience. If this is the quality of live music experience Crossroads serves up every weekend, I'm there. Thank you, thank you Crossroads for bringing the gift of this place to this corner of the world.

Lynn and Lindy,

A splendid evening last night (Sat.) in my own hometown! Jack Williams was great. Per the warm-up act, Janet & Gus brought the house down with the Del Shannon's old rock 'n roll classic, "Runaway".

Without question, Terry Hamilton Mathews is a fine journalist as the editor of the "Wood County Democrat." Yes, she and her husband Chip should attend the Crossroads Coffeehouse that she writes about.

Best wishes to both of you all (you 'uns in my East Tennessee "Old Country")

James A. Moyers, CPA

P.S. Sooner or later, I will round up the prints from the photos that I took of the Dunbar School dedication during Feb. '02. Mrs. Earnesting Starling was past age 80 during the dedication, and you may remember that she played the piano in the Hynson Chapel. During the past several Christmases, Mrs. Starling and I exhanged Holiday Cards. She is quite an inspiration.

Had a FABULOUS time at Crossroads Saturday nite! Ann and Steve were great -- MAN, can she whale on that guitar! And I was SO pleased she honored my e-mail request to sing Happy Birthday to my two friends -- I've never heard such a soulful, bluesy rendition of it!

You guys are really onto something with this place -- it's worth the drive from Dallas, and we'll definitely be coming back. I look forward to bringing other friends as well!

July 24, 2006

Ann Armstrong and Steve Hughes put on one terrific show on Saturday the 22nd (and the fact that Ann sang the coolest happy birthday to Glenda Schill and me has absolutely nothing to do with this comment!!) - I hope they can come back to Crossroads again! You have a beautiful venue and I intend to visit again.

Glenda Schill

July 24, 2006

My second visit to the Crossroads this past Saturday night was even better than the first. Ann Armstrong and Steve Hughes were phenomenal, and I will long remember the hot blues rendition of happy birthday sung by Ann from the stage to commemorate my birthday. Great evening!

I have not "seen" Crossroads with my eyes yet,; still, I know Crossroads. As an artisan friend and committed comrade of Lynn's for several decades now, I know that Crossroads is an artistic jewel. This new venture SO FITS Lynn's gregarious, warm, talented, creative soul, and I could not be happier for her and for Lindy. This spirited planting and genious effort, Crossroads, will thrive and be a place of sharing, renewal, and blessing. From The Pacific Northwest, PURA VIDA, MY BELOVED FRIENDS !

I love CROSSROADS!!!
