A true game changer; Linda from New York

I was suffering from some severe damage using press-on nails as my finger picks. My natural nails have always been brittle and too weak to use on their own so the only choices I have are finger picks or flat picks. Since I’ve been venturing into the world of blues and finger picking I’ve tried every single type of finger picks known and have been dissatisfied with the results, I finally found a solution and that was the press-ons. Until…that dreadful day I chemically burned my skin trying to remove them with a new type of nail glue remover. Not only did I burn my skin but my nails were in serious danger of falling completely off. Back to the drawing board.

At this point I could not wear any of the other picks. My skin has become too sensitive for metal or plastic. I finally took out a set of Fred Kelly’s and put them on over finger cots and taped them down so they wouldn’t slide off. What a rigamarole.

All this time I was thinking, someone has to have invented something better than this and boom! I found your site! You invented the exact thing I was thinking about. The minute I put them on I knew this was going to work. And it did, and I love them.

It did take a day or two to adjust my playing to them but every day it’s getting better. I’m still doing a bit of filing to “customize” them to me but I’m happy as a clam with them right now. The thumb pick was a pleasant surprise and I was amazed at how quickly I adjusted to it. Thank you for that.

Now my fingers and nails can heal and I can get on with doing the thing that is my most loved activity. Playing the guitar.
